I am very pleased we closed on the property.  I’m sorry I haven’t emailed after the big day.  Thank you for everything.  I wish we could meet and open a bottle of champagne.  Perhaps when I am back in the US.  I will be in touch when we get serious about building.  Becky and I are looking at house plans and dreaming about our new home!  We are very excited.  Thank you again for all the time and effort you put into the deal and getting it all together by the closing date, you set my mind at ease many many times during the process, and for that you have my gratitude.  It was great to work with you, you were always confident the deal would work and calm in the face of uncertainty.  All excellent traits in pilots and mortgage brokers!

Thank you so much for finding me the financing I was looking for that everyone else told me didn’t exist.  You have been instrumental in keeping my long-time dream alive.  I look forward to working with you again once I am ready to build and need a construction/permanent loan product.  Here is my story that I hope will give encouragement to others pursuing the same long-term, fixed-rate financing on a vacant land parcel that you secured for me.  

 For many, many years I have had a dream of a small log home on  a secluded piece of land amongst the evergreens. The challange was always to find a piece of  land that was within a reasonble commuting distance to work, could actually be built on, and had the right setting for a log home. I was always looking but just couldn’t find the lot  that met all the criteria and was within my price range, until I found the lot on Lookout Mountain. Once I found the lot I had to find a way to finance it until the time was right to build.  As I started looking for financing I was disappointed in the terms available on vacant land loans. The rates were higher, adjustable, and typically had ballon payments. Or, I could go with a construction loan that would convert to a permanent loan but I would need to start building within a relatively short time frame.  I wanted time to digest the land acquisition without worrying about potential interest rate increases,  balloon payments, or having to commit to building in the near future, but all the lenders or mortgage brokers I spoke to recited the same products that I felt were unattractive, restrictive, and some-what risky.  Then I found your website.  I think our first conversation on the phone was at least 45 minutes as you listened to my dreams, my goals, and my ideas.  You understood exactly what I was looking for and secured  the long-term financing  at a very attractive fixed rate just as advertised.   During the entire process you were my advocate,  took the time to respond to all of my questions with thoughtful and thorough answers,   provided wise counsel as challenges occurred throughout the transaction, and got me a loan that I was told didn’t exist. I feel so fortunate to have found you and don’t believe I would be the owner of a land parcel on Lookout Mountain if I had not had you on my side.  Carol Dennis and Peakview Mortgage are for real!  Thanks again.
